Back office support for accounting firms
You keep the client relationship, the advice and the tax filing. We do the bookkeeping, data entry and admin behind it, under your firm's name.

What is back office support for an accounting firm?
Back office support means an outside team does the routine work behind your client service: bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, data entry, document collection and admin. Your firm reviews the work, advises the client and files the tax returns. Your clients deal only with you.

Document chasing

Inbox and calendar
Routine emails answered and meetings booked by a virtual assistant.
Busy season cover
Extra hours for the weeks before a deadline, without hiring.
How does it start?
- 1
A call about your workload
Which clients, which software and where the hours go.
- 2
A trial with a few clients
Start with a small set of files so you can check the quality.
- 3
A monthly rhythm
Agreed deadlines, a status for every client and one summary each month.
How is client data kept safe?
What we can access, and how, is agreed in writing with you before any work starts. We work inside your own tools with the logins you provide, only for the tasks in your plan, and you can remove that access at any time. For accounting firms that normally means working inside your firm's own accounting software, so client files stay in your systems.

Questions accounting firms ask
Do you file tax returns?
No. Your firm gives the advice, signs off and files. Virtually On It does the bookkeeping and admin that comes before it.
Will my clients know someone else does the work?
That is your choice. The work is done under your firm's name and your clients deal only with you.
Which accounting software do you work in?
Tell us which software your firm uses on the first call and we will confirm before anything starts.
Can I start with only a few clients?
Yes. A small trial with a few client files lets you check the quality before you hand over more.
What happens in busy season?
You can add extra hours for the weeks you need more help, then return to your normal plan.
