What is a virtual assistant?

A virtual assistant is a person who does administrative work for your business remotely. Typical tasks are managing email and calendars, replying to customers, entering data, doing research and booking travel. You hand over the tasks, agree how they should be done, and the work happens without you needing to hire an employee.

Most routine admin: email, calendar, customer replies, data entry, research, bookings and simple reports. If a task follows steps you can explain, it can usually be handed over.
